The Education of Tomorrow Emerging Today
Nelson Baker discusses navigating change on the Teibel Education Consulting podcast
In our lifetime, Higher Education has not seen the kind of global shock to its system that emerged over a two-month period. We anticipated a systematic and orderly shift in the next few years to address the rising cost of education, changing demographics, and a growing adult population choosing to come back to further their education. Those institutions that had already invested in a new kind of education now find themselves in a position to accelerate. Georgia Institute of Technology is one of those institutions.
Howard Teibel, founder and president of Teibel Education Consulting, and Nelson Baker, dean of Professional Education at Georgia Tech, discuss how to navigate change and the educational opportunities emerging as we turn toward rebuilding in the COVID era and beyond.
"New knowledge is being created so rapidly that we're all going to be learners and teachers at the same time," remarks Baker. "We need to be thinking about how we can retool and bring in new knowledge so we can thrive and succeed in this new world."
