Online Japanese - Intermediate Japanese I

Course Description

The Intermediate Japanese I course is the third semester of a four-semester online sequence in Japanese. The course will build upon the four critical language skills — speaking, listening, writing, and reading — you have developed through Elementary Japanese II. The course will introduce more complex language structures, such as embedded sentences and style differences (polite versus plain), and you will learn how to converse about your health, weather and climate, and travel plans. Learners can choose their own time to study, except for weekly virtual classroom sessions that are held at a designated time to practice speaking with an instructor and other students. The mid-term and final exam must be administered by a prearranged exam proctor at the location of your choice.
