Lew Roberts
Biography
Lew specializes in the fields of Business Performance Improvement and Supply Chain Management. His consulting and management development career over the last twenty five years has included working with Ryder, UPS, Caliber Logistics, DHL, Menlo Worldwide, BAX Global, Owens Corning, Coca-Cola, Georgia-Pacific, Baxter, De Beers, Mercedes Benz, Nissan and many other major firms worldwide. He has studied under Dr. Richard Schonberger, who is recognized as one of the worlds leading authorities in the fields of JIT and Business Performance Improvement.
Lew is President and founder of L. Roberts & Associates Inc., a USA based firm, which provides a wide range of professional consulting and management development services aimed at improving business performance, with an emphasis in the field of supply chain management. Amongst its services, Roberts & Associates currently provides training in Warehouse Design and Layout and Warehouse Management under license to Supply Chain Planning Limited, Cranfield University (UK). Lew has also developed and delivered courses in supply chain management for major companies around the world.
Lew has spoken at many conferences and universities worldwide, in his chosen field, including the Colorado School of Mines (by invitation of Professor Gene Woolsey), Cleveland State University, the University of Toledo, Pretoria University, Macquarie University and the National University of Singapore. Lew has also lectured on the Executive Masters in International Logistics (EMIL) program at Georgia Tech. He is currently an Adjunct Faculty at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), in South Africa, and is a Lecturer and Consultant at the Supply Chain and Logistics Institute and the Scheller College of Business, at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
In addition Lew has written many articles on the subject of business performance improvement and supply chain management. Lew is co-author of a book titled Managing Global Supply & Risk: Best Practices, Concepts and Strategies which was published in 2010.
