MOSA Standards and Implementation

Course Description

The MOSA Standards Implementation course provides a fundamental understanding of the complex engineering activities associated with applying open standards to Department of Defense (DOD) military vehicle platforms and systems with a focus on avionics and sensor systems. The course will provide system implementation considerations and guidance for existing open standards such as:

  • C5ISR Modular Open Suite of Standards – Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (CMOSS)
  • Vehicular Integration for (C4ISR) Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance /(EW) Electronic Warfare (EW) Interoperability. (VICTORY)
  • Modular Open RF Architecture (MORA)
  • Software Composition Analysis (SCA)
  • Open Virtual Path Cross-Connect (OpenVPX)
  • Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE)
  • Hardware Open Systems Technology (HOST)
  • Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA)

Security, safety, legacy and future systems application for mission computers, electronic warfare, and C5ISR systems will be included.
